Bought the car recently. Never had any private on it in the past. I was just thinking dvla causing an issue over the mods etc. no colour or engine change. Just suspension alloys brakes and exhaush straight pipe. They havent requested to see it but they did say it can be 1 out of 10 chance at random.

I was wondering what all this inspection is about. I just wasent to sure about the mods. If they dont have to be declared to dvla. Thats totally fine then im guessing. Never had this issue before when i put it on the passat.

Thats what ive heard from a few people, never had to take them down.The guy on the phone was saying its a 10% chance.

Hello fellas, im intending to transfer my private plate to another vehicle, but dvla say both cars must be available for inspection. Im confused why?? The other car is modified, which isnt declared to dvla, such as coilovers, alloys, window tints etc, could this be a possible trap or an issue?

Hello there fellas, i was wondering if you guys could possibly explain how the new taxing procedure work, bought a car today n the owner said i don't need to tax it until dvla receive the v5, is that correct? How will i know if they've received it or not etc

I ended up replacing mine with genuine oil, about a month ago. Certainly has made a difference in gear changes slightly smoothened it out. Used genuine stuff from tps! Bit pricy 3ltrs for 56 quid. If there is a like for like cheaper alternative id suggest going for that.

Yes i bought the full kit as shown in the ebay link above. Hopefully sort it out in the morning! Will be difficult aliming the window with the holes to remove the glass as the window just slightly moves up from the fully opened position.

Ive sourced one from ecp, seems fine with the metal runners to.. Just needs to be bolted in place. I have done these various times in the past its not difficult just fiddly and time consuming.

My driverside window regulator cables broke! Window fully open failing to come up. Having to use the car in weather like this is a pain on the motorway. Think thats my job for the weekend, how are the kits off ecp?

The glow plugs maybe the culprit, as mine used to do that until i replaced them and then been fine there after.

Would this fit?? without too much of a drone on the motorway.

I was just intending on replacing the section with a de cat rather than the whole exhaust. i was also wondering if the ones off ebay make a constant drone when your sat at steady revs on the motorway.

Is there any other engines such as the avf awx, decat pipes compatible with my avb? Having looked on ebay its quite confusing. Will someone kindly point me into the right direction.

Cheers wings123 very detailed info, you maybe right in saying its the flexi pipe as it does run through the car. Apart from that everything is tight under there. Well id personally go down the decat route. What sort pf prices am i looking at for a decat pipe for an avb tdi engine?

Could even be a damaged cat, read that somewhere too. Care feels awful to drive like this

If i get out and pull the exhaust up thenvibration stops completely. When i let go it comes back. If i rev the car when its shaking on idle it also stops it for a few seconds.

They all seem to be there. They have never been messed with nothing seems to be missing or out of place.

Its deffo not the flywheel, beacuse it i park the car on a slope n go out and look at the back. The exhaust is shaking madly. If i rev it sort of stops it vibrating for a while.

Hi there, issues with the exhaust vibrating after a motorway drive literally feel it shaking through the car. It also randomly does it at times on local driving. Majority of the time after a hard drive. The car was up on a ramp a week ago, all the rubber bushes were checked nothings torn or damaged....

What gearbox oil does my passat take? Avb 100 tdi 5 speed manual gearbox 2002. Would it be 75 90 fully synthetic

I dont understand why i would need a smaller bush? How will that fully fit around the arb? Ecp are showing the 27mm one when i put the reg in.

Would these be the right ones for an AVB passat?
