Re: Anyone else getting frozen out of their car?

Hmmm, its not the lock though, the handle pulls but doesnt feel as if its connected to anything, ... ... :? That's exactcly what happens to me. It feels like it's going to break off. Never had this prob on the B5.5. Vasseline or similart as the other chap says on the trim sounds like a good idea. +...

Re: Standard headlights - are poo

Full beam's fine, it's just when normal headights are on. The distance lit up is very short.

Standard headlights - are poo

Had the 2.0tdi S a few months now. The stock headlamps are like candles in the wind compared to my old B5.5's Xenons. I guessed they would be worse and went for the newer low spec car instead of an older higher spec or higher mileage one. But, I didn't realise quite how bad they are. Yep, I've check...

Re: Advice Needed on Park Brake/Auto Hold

I've used the auto hold a couple of times, but the light never goes off, unless I stop and depress it to de-activate it.

Wierd. I don't bother with it anymore.

Danski,

Why didn't you just buy a faster car?!

Take care.

Re: Remap to the 140bhp b6 4motion

A Ha! So, should you have bought an older faster car instead? Probably. I've gone from a B5.5 300bhp supercharged 30v 4mo to a B6 2.0tdi 140s. I reckon I'm just gonna try to apply some self discipline and try to keep it stock. Danski will disagee with me though! He'll say get it chipped. I wish vw d...

Just being sensible I'm afraid.

Danski. Are youtrying to get me into trouble? I'm not gonna get it mapped. No mods on this car. It's a slippery slope! The 400 quid or whatever for a 'map will get invested in booze.

Will check up on the fuel pump thing. I'll be feckin anoyed if it's not been done.

Traded the s'chrged b5.5 for a deisel B6

Yep, I've trade in the supercharged B5.5 for a nearly new Black 20.tdi S 140 estate. Huge change. Halfed my insurance costs and doubled the mpg. Not taken it on a proper drive yet, but it goes OK. The old car went directly to VW, so no idea where it will pop up again. The car definately feels a bit ...

supercharded 30v mofo traded for a tdi

Yep, traded the 300bhp Eaton supercharged V6 for a 140tdi. 60k trouble free and serious fun miles will be passed on to someone else now. The cost savings of 40+mpg over 20k miles per year are just too much to turn down. So, I'll be surfing the B6 page from now on. Hopefully I'll get in touch with th...

Re: looking for a B6 2.0tdi 140 estate

Hey! Rock'n'roll. So, you've a 140 sport then already got it chipped? 170's so hard to find? Where? Yep, I'll have to have a change in mindset wrt performance. The motorway miles are holidays to France etc. not business miles I'm afraid. Have passed your way en route to Shropshire, but it's usually ...

looking for a B6 2.0tdi 140 estate

Bonjour, Anyone fancy chatting / volunteering advice on the new a B6 estate? I'm looking for a 2.0 tdi 140 state. Probably an S, as it seems the best value to get a nearly new car. Seems like a few quircks about this deisel filter and the p.i.t.a handbrake. So far it's about £15k for about 10k mile...

fwd v 4motion

Drove a B6 2.0 tdi - what a nighmare accelerating in the wet compared to my B5.5 V6 4motion. I guess you get used to it. It's been a while since I drove a fwd car.

I guess it's all corporate decisions and Audi marketing that restrict the 4mo model variations.

Just wee bit of a rant I guess.

It was this type I was looking to fit

I would say b5.5 light will fit a B5.

Might go for the W8s.

Rear light fittment -will 3B fit 3BG?

I've a 2002 B5.5 estate that is a 3Bg chasis. Will rear light fittments for a 3B (1997-2000) fit? I'm sure they do. Needed for a cheesy FK lexus lights. It's a v6 4motion that has silver trim so I do get away with it. Well almost. Or, if you know of a cheap source for stock one, I'd settle for those...
