What I usually do is make up a set using some mk2 coilovers as the rear are the same and the fronts have all the bits that are needed to convert the B2 setup.

Hi, it's a tricky one, rear are the same as a mk2 and mk1 golf, fronts either are very expensive Audi80 ones or if it's of any use I have made a few for various cars. I fabricated a jig up so I can quite easily make a set using some donor ones, If you like the sound of this then I can do it for you.

The engines sit longitudinal in a B1 as opposed to the transverse on a MK2. I would say it would be better to look for anything out of a B2 Passat, B5 Passat, any Audi 80 or A4. I think A6 also.
