Re: Coilovers for b2
Right so I kind of worked it out. I have done a few of these now and they work a treat however they are for local people and I have had the luxury of time and proximity to do them. Price would be £120 and that includes the fabrication, return postage payment and free sticker. All I need is your don...

Re: Coilovers for b2
What I usually do is make up a set using some mk2 coilovers as the rear are the same and the fronts have all the bits that are needed to convert the B2 setup.
I'm in Norwich. If you love far I have found some good courier services.

Re: Coilovers for b2
Hi, it's a tricky one, rear are the same as a mk2 and mk1 golf, fronts either are very expensive Audi80 ones or if it's of any use I have made a few for various cars. I fabricated a jig up so I can quite easily make a set using some donor ones, If you like the sound of this then I can do it for you.

Hi, I have these, they are quite rare, and I would say you could ask a fair bit for them. Keep hold of them.

Here's some of mine, it's currently off the road while I finish another project, then I'll get on with sorting it's issues. http://sphotos-a.ak.fbcdn.net/hphotos-ak-ash3/26654_330379133916_129621_n.jpg http://sphotos-h.ak.fbcdn.net/hphotos-ak-ash3/31053_397859428916_2304992_n.jpg http://sphotos-g.ak...

Re: A4 (AWX) PD130 into B2 Passat - Anyone done it/got info?
Hello, I think I've posted this before but... Any B1/2/5/6 Passats and Audi 80/90/100/A4/A6 etc with longitudinal engines will work, in a sense. Like most conversions the electrics, drive shafts, clutches and in this case linkages can be a problem. I have looked at a few engine possibilities and bot...

Re: engine swaps
RIGHT these all fit in design platform but I'm not sure if any V6 or 5pot lumps have different bell housing/block stud pattern. I'm aware that a RS6 in to B1swap will not be the easiest of jobs. It all depends on the ability of the fitter. other things to consider are things like engine height and l...

Re: Fitting a 3.2 litre engine on a B1
Hey Stephan, That is a good idea, only I was trying to get a new engine fitted like at least a 2000 model. The Mk2 is easier I guess, my friend fitted a Jetta engine. If you have any more ideas please let me know. Thnx Yeah basically any longitudinal setups will fit nice as it saves cutting things ...

Re: Fitting a 3.2 litre engine on a B1
The engines sit longitudinal in a B1 as opposed to the transverse on a MK2. I would say it would be better to look for anything out of a B2 Passat, B5 Passat, any Audi 80 or A4. I think A6 also.
the V6 2.8 out of a Audi 80 would go well...
