It's a mate of mines..he's not a member on here but he does work at back of scrap yard at a groundworks/foundation place

most people do there own servicing and save a shed load of cash doing it but on the other hand alot of people like to have a dealer stamp in the service book aswell

i did mention about the problem on other passats and had seen the problem on forums and all i got back was "its the first we have heard about it"....but dont worry when tuesday comes i'll be on the phone to them again...

i have a bury carkit fitted in my b6 and i got an cradle for my iphone and only thing i gotta do is pair it with the cradle,slot iphone in and away i go....no buttons at all on cradle or the adaptor....

i upgraded my 51reg b5.5 tdi for a 06reg b6 tdi due to similar circumstances..i thought add abit more money and have a b6 instead of a late b5.5 highline.so thats what i did..the b5.5 was a great car and a pleasure to drive but so is the b6...glad i got the b6 as it give me abit of grin factor when ...

just checked with haynes and no manual for b6 as of yet....

last time i had my paasat serviced at the dealers i asked how much for cam-belt and water pump to be done and it was £410 all in which i thougt was pretty resonable from the dealers

just an update...had the passat pressure tested yesterday and to my great relief it was the radiator that got a fracture in it and now all is well again (new oem rad fitted) ....but the slight mayo was down to short journeys and not getting the car upto heat so hence the slight mayo on the oil fille...

i got a funny feeling that head gasket has failed as coolant level dropping but no leaks anywhere but there is also a little mayo on oil filler cap.. ps the car doesnt overheat and warm air still comes out of the heater???? was just wondering if they could be another problem but i do think it is the...

ive actually had cambelt replaced also water pump and tensioners at same time and was charged

what wattage are they and did you have any warning lights on dash after you fitted them?
