Clutch flywheel best places to buy

Hi, the time has come to replace my clutch and flywheel, I'm getting prices for supply and fit and a couple of places have said I can supply myself, so any advice on the best place to purchase. It's a 1.9 tdi awx 5 speed I've looked on euro car parts etc but just want to ask in case anyone has found...

Re: Clutch change, Derby

What's the torque figure any dyno print out ? I was given the map by T2000 and I think.its very similar to the blacksmoke one as it's supposed to be 165bhp and 280 ft/lb of torque but I have not got a read out,it seems a pretty gentle map really that does deliver the power alot smoother than the st...

Clutch change, Derby

Morning all, does anyone have any recommendations for a garage/person to change a clutch on my Awx 1.9 pd tdi around the Derby area, it doesn't need doing straight away but it's started to slightly slip, only labour required as I can supply the parts. I do most of my own stuff on the car but I think...

Re: Remap advice

Hi guys. Remapped my car tonight with a map kindly provided free by T2000 the main reason was to clear the emission workshop warning and engine management light I got last week after fitting my egr delete kit. Anyway I read my current file twice and saved it then wrote the new map provide by T2000 a...

Re: Coolant temp sensor

Thanks for all the replies, I ordered a Febi one so hopefully it will be ok, just to check, the issue im having is that the MPG has dropped and the tempreture guage is fluctuating, when I check on the climatronic the highest it ever registers on channel 45 is 69 degrees. If this doesnt work am I rig...

Coolant temp sensor

Re: Engine temps

Hi, I'm having some strange issues with my 1,9 tdi AWX, the tempreture gauge every now and again drops slightly so I thought I would check channel 45 and when the car has been ran for 20-30 mins and the gauge shows 90 channel 45 is showing 72. I noticed on a couple of other threads that it was menti...

Re: 180000 mile chooch (smoke)

Hi, The smoke is blue and lasts a few seconds, it only does it on the first start up of the day or when very cold, never when the tempreture is 8-9 and above. Its not knocky ( well no more than a PD is anyway ). I have also noticed on a few occasions when driving that the tempreture gauge drops belo...

Re: 180000 mile chooch (smoke)

Don't think it's glow plugs it look's to me like over fuelling. Has your MPG changed. Sorry to jump on your thread but ive got the same issue, Smokey on start up for a few seconds and slightly lumpy then perfect straight after. Alan you asked if MPG had changed, I believe mine has, its averaging 39...

Re: Double din advice

Jesus, this has been over complicated! If you have Gamma over changer in the dash at the moment you simply remove both, and the divider between them (it simply pulls out) fit the double din cage that comes with the radio and plug it into the ISO wiring the Passat has as standard. Worst case you wil...

Ive got a 2004 highline that has had CC retro fitted before I got the car. Is there any way of getting the speed the CC is set to to be displayed on the dash?. At the moment nothing is displayed on the dash when CC is on except the green symbol. Cheers It'll be the same as the speedo  That is...

Re: Double din advice

Just checked and the stereo I listed above is the same size as a pioneer appradio double din so I don't think.the size of it will be an issue. It's just the wiring and actual fascia that may cause problems.

Re: Double din advice

I thought the double din I posted would fit the hole maybe just a fascia adaptor and wiring adaptor, didn't think it would require major work to fit the dash etc. Gazwould I would love a 7" unit from one of the makes you mention mate but to get satnav etc I just don't think I would be able to a...
