I have the freeware version of VAGCOM - not sure what to check though.

Sad to admit I've managed to get 70mpg av. on a 40 mile trip to work. 60-65 all the way

It regulalry does 60-63, which makes me thinks there something unusual happening - espeically seeing other posts.

(trip is about 3-4 mpg optimistic though)

we use a britax rennaisance - seems to be well recommended. If you look at the Britax website, there's a suitability checker.

My 04 passat doesn't let you diasble the front airbag, so you're not meant to put it in the front seat.

If it were leaking - I guess it would be bad all the time - its my first Passat so I'm not sure whats normal.

I am going to check under the carpet tomorrow to see if its wet.

Does this avoid removing the headlamp unit? Its only the N/S thats gone, but I've got an MOT tomorrow - so I need to get it fixed.

I have a TDI sport (it has climate control) and as soon as the outside temp drops below 0, it seems to mist up lots. I recently changed the pollen filter but it made no difference. Had a look in the user manual and it says return to the dealer!

Looked in the Haynes manual and it talks about taking the bumper off to remove the headlamp unit. There must be an easier way

- hopfully someone knows the secret.

Can anyone recommend a decent place to get a VAG-COM cable from? There are a few on Ebay I've seen, but I wouldn't mind hearing from someone who has actually purchased one.
