Re: R36 Scrub a dub.
Yeah when I say MFD I mean the display on the dash. Most I’ve seen are red. Mine is white. I’m not sure that dynamic chassis was an option in the uk as I’ve not seen it. It is however on the 2012 cc I’ve just managed to get for my parents and it seems to do a good job. As for you’re nav I wouldn’t m...

Re: R36 Scrub a dub.
Hi nice work on getting the R36 does it have any mods on it? I’ve found that mines quite rare in having the updated with MFD. As for Adams yeah I’ve used most of their range. Stand outs for me are; Shampoo, doesn’t dry and leave residue. You can literally put it on and let it dry in the sun and it w...

Thanks Mr36, to be fair I have good friends that have won Waxstock and one of them owns their own unit based Detailing company https://www.themattfinish.co.uk . And another owns a store that imports USA Detailing brands and has developed his own range of detailing cloths https://www.prestigecarcares...

Re: Winter wheels and tyres
Thanks buddy, Only just seen this sorry. The tyres have been exemplary over the winter and are still performing well even in these warmer temps. They'll be coming off next week as soon as the new Michelin PS4's are fitted to the OEM's https://farm8.staticflickr.com/7888/32446245337_052dfde27e_b.jpg ...

D1S bulb upgrade
Hi all, Since buying my car that has the AFS Bi-xenon units, I’ve been deeply disappointed with the light output. The N/S light seemed scattered and the O/S seemed better but with excessive rainbow fringing. And whilst main beam was selected very little differance in light distribution improvement. ...

Awesome thanks for that Mitch. I had seen that but presumed it was more of a splitter than an undertray. I’ll get on the hunt for one.

Winter wheels and tyres
Hey All, I decided to pull the trigger n some new wheels and used winter tyres for the R36. I looked at many different wheels from VW OE wheels to branded aftermarket to reps. I decided in the end to for some reps from Chris of CM Wheels https://cmwheels.com Ive used Chris and his team for wheels on...

Re: Estate - opening tailgate from drivers door
My understanding of how that button works, is that it only works if you have auto close function. It’s never worked on any of my b6 or 2 b7’s because of not having the auto close function ie button on the inside of the tailgate

Retrofit B7 Climatronic, trim question
Hi all, I’ve search but can’t find the answer. I want to retrofit/swap my B6 Climatronic control unit for the one out of the newer B7. The problem I’m finding is that the trim that goes around the B7 unit has the pass airbag light on it. Where as the B6 one doesn’t as we know it’s on the radio trim ...

If I remember rightly 4800k is the peak for lumen output. Beyond that temp the lumen(s) start to drop off.

Top work dude. I’m currently going through the same theme of stuff on mine. Just getting back to a really good standard. Replacing tired/missing parts.

Re: Any recommendations for HID light kit?
Sorry I should have been clearer. When I normalised the halogen I was referring to a reflector halogen headlight unit. As a pose to a projector halogen headlight unit.
So technically not wrong. Just not comprehensive wording one my behalf.
Thanks for clearing that up for me though Ray

Re: Any recommendations for HID light kit?
Last time I put hid into a car I used hid uk. Not sure if they’re still about. But they provided a solid kit with good customer service. You already know this, but if your lights are normal halogen be sure to get the bulbs with an R at the end. As they’re designed for halogen units and create. A pro...

It’s only down the road from me. So if anyone wanted me to have a look at it for them. To save on a big round trip to find it’s actaully a dog underneath, I’d be happy to go down and look for them.
