Any easy ways of removing this away from the grill on a B6 SE? Have new plate but fancy removing the black plastic the plate usually sits on

I'm in the same boat with mods. Either spend money or buy new car. https://scontent-lhr3-1.xx.fbcdn.net/v/t1.0-9/14102324_10210056259579141_7759691096049489003_n.jpg?oh=0ce9aa33379cfea5cd8df192b2dc8190&oe=5842D1B7 https://scontent-lhr3-1.xx.fbcdn.net/v/t1.0-9/13934672_10210056259419137_201138243...

That grill looks good. How much was it to paint?
Are the springs no good then or just fancy an upgrade?

Re: B6 estate
Those pics are at my cousins farm. Don't work there as much as I used to and the Mrs is getting a 4x4 soon, so think that's the first and last time those sportlines will be seeing that road haha. Perfect for the rest of the way across the fell road from slaidburn to Bentham. Handled superbly. Once t...

Re: fk automotive springs
My eibach springs haven't made the ride any more uncomfortable one bit. But are still much stiffer and handle so much better. Never had that with any other previous cars/springs. Unbelievable Geoff

Re: B6 estate
Seems to be getting lower. Scraped a lot getting down the farm track. Not sure where to go next. I want it to stand out more but also don't want to over do it. https://scontent.fman2-1.fna.fbcdn.net/hphotos-xpt1/v/t1.0-9/12717869_10208826553037246_6126512897839462438_n.jpg?oh=fb67eae1f8763dd23ed1f26...

Re: coilovers
Only a month ago I nearly bought some cheap but maybe "look" effective coilovers.
Persuaded by Eibach sportline springs and ended up with the "look" I wanted and superb handling, much stiffer than standard but still somehow remains comfy as f#ck. Bought and fitted for £320

What sort of width? 10mm ?
The back has settled down a considerable amount so probably scrap the wide 19" idea

I know all about your hatred for 19s don't worry haha. I understand your reasoning too.
Not used a forum like this since my long gone boy racer days and it's good to get pros and cons for any subject!
What are your thoughts on wheel spacers? I've never used them

Re: B6 estate
A mechanic friend of mine did it for me so left it all to him, my technical abilities are pretty limited haha. These are the 50/40mm lower sportline springs. Crappy pics don't do it justice really, seems to have settled a bit more even now too. Low enough to scrape on the middle of the road speed bu...

Re: B6 estate
Springs are on now. Makes a massive difference to drive. Not done many miles but it's definatly better. I'm thinking about some wheel spacers on the rear to help fill the arches a bit. Maybe some 19s with wider rears if money allows https://scontent-lhr3-1.xx.fbcdn.net/hphotos-xaf1/v/t1.0-9/535309_1...
