How handy were your headlights to open and re-seal? Inside of my lenses have gone cloudy from using the HIDs as driving lights. Hoping I can open them, clean the lense and glue them back up.

Re: G's 2009 Highline - Interior changed
Been a busy show season and as such haven't been on the forum as much as I would like. Managed to collect a Runner up Passat, 2 Best Passat and 2 Best interior trophies this year which I was really pleased about. Not much has changed with the car since I put the iPad and interior in. Things have bee...

Re: DPF removed and VCDS
When it regens, the idle goes up to 1000rpm and it smokes like hell as all the extra fuel it dumps in comes out the back. It also makes the carbon mass number drop very quickly. The problem could also be case because the car was in a regen mode when we mapped it with the new software. So the carbon ...

Re: DPF removed and VCDS
SPOT ON!
See anything over 20 carbon mass is enough to bring on a regen, which yours should be doing. Does it ever regen for you?

DPF removed and VCDS
Need a favour from someone with their DPF removed and access to VCDS. I had my internals removed a few months ago and then had revo up the software to stage 2 with DPF software supposedly removed. I'm still getting a regen though and I'm blaming it on the software. Before I start asking for my money...

Re: EPB coding
No mines 09. CECM and instruments had the same part numbers. Park brake control module was a slightly newer version but same number of bytes. Switch had thrown up the odd fault randomly over the last year (maybe 3 times total) But I turned the seatbelt chime of and on ages ago (2 years or more) and ...

Re: B6 20" alloys Please help
Depending on the wheel design depends on how much you can skim off, but 20mm is alot! What are the wheels and can you not get some in the right fitment? As for tyre size, you simply won't be able to fit a 35 profile. It will look gash and you'll not be able to lower the car that much to keep the arc...

No the lights stills go out on the dash when the seat belt is on, and it still knows when the seat belt is released for it to automatically re engage.

EPB coding
Having problems with the EPB. I have searched but can find nothing but the usual issues related with it but not this one. Problem happened after I turned off the seat belt recognition in the instruments. I've since turned it on again but now the auto release function has stopped working. Seatbelt on...

Re: B6... A Working Progress
My rear needs 58psi to keep clear of the arches. But I'm using sleeve bags rather than bellows. Front minimum is 42psi but normally closer to 50psi. Needs at least 62psi to get in the driveway! Ill air out if I'm parked up somewhere good but don't bother when parked at home to save my arches from to...

Re: Estate - Rear seats stuck
The lock mechanism has sprung into the lock position while the barrel is still in the open position. You need to try and lift the key barrel bit upwards and then try and pull the handle. The mechanism isn't the strongest and can easily take a knock or too when the seat is folded down.

Re: B6 COILOVERS
Most adjusters for the rear are designed to be at the bottom. My old AP's had them at the top. But once you have them right you'll not need to change them.
I would recommend the APs. Superb comfort and just the right amount of OEM+ lows.

What size wheels and tyres have you on and how close is it to laying frame? Mine nearly laid frame without the notch and I'm certain it would have with. Have seen other passats lay with a notch.

http://i626.photobucket.com/albums/tt349/gblackb6/e545653e.jpg Like these? I got custom 18mm adapters made up by Gary Thomas. They were about £180 iirc? Bolts were about another £45 and then I fitted some part worn 235/35/19. Total weight at each corner was 28kg. Killed all performance and was al...
