Thanks for teh replies.. @dubber36 > fair point re costs and DVLA.. i guess i was just hoping that there could be an affordablish option to convert, as i like the idea to keep teh car for many years to come.. @Gazwould, this is the problem.. dont want to see but looks like that might be the option.....

Hello, I have recently purchased a Passat estate 2004 2.5 V6 TDI, and the display on the dash says it is due for a service in 200 miles... Hello, I would be more inclined to fit a roof box and fill it with camping stuff...... Thanks desertstorm. A friend of mine back in new Zealand [where i am original from] had the roof tent on his 4x4, and agree, you did have to climb up to get in, but what was great is that you could pull up anywher...

Hello, I am new to UK passats, and have just recently bought a 2004 2.5 V6 Tdi estate.
