I can only help by saying that my middle button does exactly that .......... opens the boot only....... when the car is locked........... then sets the alarm again when you close the boot..... normal i think

Before i got my Passat, the only other vag car i had was a 2000 Seat Toledo 1.9tdi 110 se, re-mapped to 140bhp ;) Cracking car, once i had re-sealed the doors

Not sure, but i think you will a chip....... the newer cars just require plug in map. As mentioned above, just contact cccteck and they will tell you all you need to know ;)
