Re: 312 carriers

I bought the carriers for the A3/Golf/VRS that took the 312mm discs and they fit fine! I bought pads to match the car the carriers came from I then bought the 25mm thick 312mm discs (I found the ones for the 183bhp A6 avant 2.5 TDI seemed to be consistently the right dimensions. Theyre all on and sw...

Re: Sludge strikes my 1.8t

Im against using engine flush on cars that havent had it regularly, but would this help my 110k motor?

Or would it just make everything loose inside? L-)

Re: Time for new brakes but what?

I have a set of w8 brakes with custom porsche discs on alloy bells (much cheaper to replace than the £250 per disc vw charge !), will fit any passat/audi with a 5x112mm pcd. They fit onto alloy hub carriers and if they good to stop 180Mph 2 tonne cars then they good to your passat as well. I am af...

Re: THE 312mm Carriers thread !!

A friend of mine had a GSF discount card so got 15% off, which always helps but yes as you say there are much cheaper places to get the discs from - but I went for the Brembo discs as they do make nice kit. On ebay now you can get the pair of discs for £45 but not sure if they're any good, it just...

Re: THE 312mm Carriers thread !!

The discs are the easiest bit to find. GSF have the vented 25mm x 312mm for skoda superb or the V6 Passat, for about £90 inc VAT a pair. Job done. As for carriers, not heard the difference between the carriers that fit alloy or steel hubs, but mine are from a mk1 Audi TT. You can get them from V6 ...

Steel hubs the holes are closer on the carriers. Ally hubs, holes further apart. (I think)

Whats the age of the car?

Have you got the ATE claipers? If so, go the 312mm route. :)
