Re: Which Suspension?
Most likely will be 16mm. What year is it? Top Tip: wire brush it as much as you can and Start dousing the top pinch bolt in plusgas or a decent penetrant (NOT WD40) every day in excessive amounts if you want the bolt to have half a chance of moving. Do this every day until you take it out. Or you’...

Which Suspension?
After some guidance! My B5.5 has a front end wobble which i posted previously and was advised it is possibly one of the bushes starting to go. The car has just rolled over the 200k mile so i might as well change both front suspension setups. As this car is just a work horse i am just going to replac...

Re: Front End Wobble
So my car has started to have a front end wobble from the passenger drivers side when accelerating. I've just had some new tyres put on wheels are balanced and car drives straight. However as above when accelerating wobbles to about 60mph then calms down. Had a quick look underneath and had it off ...

Misfire 2.0T Petrol
Hi, My brother purchased a Passat CC 2.0T Petrol and after a week of ownership the car went into limp mode. He managed to get it back to my house where it was smoking and smelt of fuel. We called the RAC out to diagnose it and they said a misfire in cylinder 2 & 3. We then had it put on a traile...

Re: Why didn't my alarm go off?
Common thing it the switch on the bonnet catch. I bypassed one on a passat i had. I changed my front passengers side wing recently and loosened the front bumper, i wonder if thats had any effect? From experience if one of the door modules is iffy, this can cause the lack of beep when you lock the c...

Re: Why didn't my alarm go off?
carpets or mats on the passenger side have never been wet.... strange.
I'm away working so will look when i get home in a few weeks.

Re: Why didn't my alarm go off?
I have no idea, Passats are famous for water ingress to the comfort control unit, hopefully it's not that though. Might be an idea to check the writing to the drivers door as that is how the alarm would be set when you lock it. Does it show the drivers door open on the instrument cluster? Sent from...

LED Light Bar
Anyone on here running a light bar fitted to the roof rails?
Winters coming and i do long drives up to Aberdeen from Teesside and the extra light would be ideal on the dark nights!
I've seen a couple of bars but wondered if anyone has one fitted, how they've wired it etc.

Re: Why didn't my alarm go off?
I have no idea why it never went off. Just wanted to say I feel gutted for you. These people are utter scum. Those along with those who burgle. 100% scum. Craig. Cheers pal. I was fuming at the time, spending time and money to make the passat look good and have a few nice touches and for some littl...

Why didn't my alarm go off?
So last week my B5.5 was broken into and my Pioneer head unit stolen X( X( X( X( X( They forced the drivers side lock, however my alarm never went off. This was overnight on my drive. Is there a reason why my alarm never went off? i know it works because i've set it off by accident a few times.

Re: Retrofit Cruise control
So bit of an update on this.... Had the cruise control fitted on the Friday. Drove it home and parked up. Drove to Manchester airport last week on the Monday and parked up. Come home Saturday night and started the drove home. This is where I've found another fault since having the retrofit carried o...
