Considering a stage 1 remap
Hi, I’m considering a remap on my b5.5 estate, I’ve got the model with just 100 Bhp and an auto box. Just wonderful anyone else out there has had a stage 1 remap and seen real gains in performance and economy.
Cheers

🤦♂️Sump bolt cross threaded on the female side
Can’t believe it Just completed a successful timing belt and water pump change on my b5.5, decided to treat it to some fresh oil and then cross threaded the sump plug on the female side. Quick fix with thread lock on thread and heat resistant gasket maker on both sides of the washer and just pinched...

Have changed timing belt on an old Volvo 240 which was a piece of cake, loads of room, didn’t have to take half the car apart but these tdi engines look a bit more difficult

Re: Fault code help
Cheers guys
It’s a 2005 b5.5 Passat with the 1.9 god 100bhp
So today I cleaned all electrical sensors and the fault disappeared
Then ten mins later fault is back and the idle speed was a lot higher. I erased the fault again and idle back to normal. Any clues?

Had a fault come up a few months ago, and the dash displayed “workshop emissions “ I realise that this could be a plethora of problems. So I plugged i...

Hi guys I’ve got a side repeater on the near side mirror that’s busted. Half the lens is missing and the bulbs that are there are not working. After 5 weeks of the code cleared and no issue. The same warning has just appeared again.
