Had a search through eBay last night and found a pair of MK1 Skoda Superb 2.5tdi V6 front calipers with carrier for £45. Going to refurb them and fit the whole setup to my Passat in one go.

I think i'll go for a pair of 15mm spacers and try them on the front and back and see what they look like. Then i can always buy another pair of 15mm's or buy a pair of 20mm's for the back if the 15mm's don't space them out enough.

I changed my gearbox oil a couple of months ago for some Fuchs Titan Sintofluid FE SAE 75W. It seemed to make a slight different for the first few days, just felt like the gearbox actually had oil in it. It's since gone back to feeling a bit notchy when cold.

The carriers i got were from an Audi A6 C5, they're ATE carriers but the mounting bolt holes are roughly 145mm apart, i need ones that are 95mm apart to fit my Passat.

I actually got round to fitting one of the door actuators i picked up from the scrap yard. I swapped the knackered rear passenger door one for a good genuine working one and its now been working fine for the past 2 weeks.

I've ordered a set of Eibach springs and some B4 Bilsteins for my Passat and i'm just wondering if there is anything else i should replace whilst i've got the suspension apart?
