Unfortunately, I can’t continue my build thread here.

This board is too restrictive as far as image size is concerned. I’m not really clued up with resizing them, and I’ve left loads of pictures out as it is.

To cut down on time, I’m not going to drill, tap and machine the block to allow it to mate up to my 01E, I’m going to transfer the entire BCY internals into a 4.2 V8 40V block, from a 2002 S6.

I have a spare engine, so the obvious thing to do is to use it.

So today, I ended up with yet another C5 RS6 (BCY) engine!

This was priced right, and very complete, with turbos, loom and ECU. It never hurts to have a spare, so one could always be rebuilt to a different spec.

This is becoming a habit, picking up BCY engines.

At long last...

I have completed payment on the car - no monthlys! So I’m picking it up on Saturday. This will be the first time I’m driving it. I can’t wait to get stuck into this project, starting with quattro AWD swap. [:d]

I've always speculated that because B7 has a longer "nose" compared to B5/B6 that cooling solutions for a 077 V8 should be more optimistic. Wouldn't it be possible to fit a larger radiator and mount it in front of the rad support rather than in it and then install puller fans into the rad...
