The remote locking may not work but sticking the key in the door and locking will work.

I also fitted an inline amplifier tonight and It made it worse. Any ideas ?

how about having a key cut so you can lock the door whilst the main key is in the ignition. Cheapest and easiest way.
Some insurance companies don't like remote start fitted to cars.

That seems rather high to me mate ! Check on eurocarparts to see how much the kit should cost.

If the radios underneath the climate control pop the surround from the CC off and remove the control, you can get your hand in then to sort the wires out.

1.8t 1999 b5 Yea i had the instructions. I fitted all 4 control wires in the white plug and the red/white cable in the brown/beige plug, nothing. I'm guessing the red/white cable is power so i connected that to a switched feed and still nothing. I'm gonna double check on vagcom that I turned it on. ...

Help please. Just spent hours fitting the cruise control kit only to find theres no conections in the fuse box for it.

Try hitting underneath the outside handle with the bottom of your fist whilst trying to unlock the car.

It's kinda fixed itself. But I tried hitting the door under the lock whilst pressing the unlock button and it opened. Is the actual door lock making any kind of noise?

I know it needs programming but how is it running without the immob coded on the key ?

Had a spare key cut today but couldn't get the immob programmed. Tried it in the car and it runs, went for a little drive and all that was happening was the immob light was flashing. Is this right?

Right guys, I'm after a bit of advice. Im after a vagcom cable to use on the passat and I'm wondering which ones you guys have bought from ebay sellers. I want to do the usual fault code reading but also some programing, alarm tone, door lock etc.

So any recomendations?

I believe if you open the door and look along the edge where the latch is you'll see a small black grommet. Remove this and you'll see a spline bit i believe. Remove this and the lock should be able to be removed.

The door card and inner panel will come off without removing the seats. Ive just done it because my door wouldnt open

Are there any guides about which can help me with vagcom. I want to enable things like anti hijack, horn lock noise. German alarm tone etc etc.

Get the master cylinder changed, sounds like its sticking on and slowly releasing.

I have the parking sensor kit from Maplins, on offer for £20 at the mo. Works a treat.

I'm sure the + numbers and everything are heat ratings.

Evening guys, about 2 weeks ago my o/s/r door stopped opening. I've had all the door card and inner panel off and can see the linkages move when i pull the handles but it seems like its deadlocked. I've tested the power to the lock and that all seems to be working okay. So has anyone have a way or a...

They'll be in the wheel hubs, cylindrical objects with a lead going to them. They'll be close to a "toothed" wheel which is the ABS exciter ring.

The write up may be in chinese but the pictures speak for them selves!
