discover care pro sat nav issues

recently bought a passat 2015 with the discover car pro infotainment system and cant get the sat nav to work we dont have a VW SD card so we used a 32gb SanDisk SD card we followed the instructions on the website and cant get it to work at all
whenever we try use nav it says please insert update media
