Spilt rear coil lower mount
Is a split rear coil lower rubber mount an Mot failure? It's still in place and doing its job think. Not totally perished. Will get picture tomorrow. Must have been like that at last mot I think and no advisory. Not been driving car much for last year too. Thanks.

Hi. I got my refurbed Pagid caliper from ECP but did not come with washers. Just grease and rubber boots for sliders.

Thanks for response. Yes did it about a dozen times and pumped pedal 5 times then held and opened nipple. Hopefully all ok.

I put on a new rear caliper and did a brake bleed to get fluid into it. Used the two person method and made sure all air came out and reservoir always at max. What happened though was when the pedal was pumped and then held down, I opened the bleeder to let air out and the pedal went down more to fl...

Yes pretty rusty too. I did use a wire brush and flat head screwdriver. Then copper greased them. The Brembo pads came with some metal plate shim (if that right name), but could not fit it in place snuggly to put new pads in. The old pads did not have this shim. Best I replace them too then. Thanks for response. Getting new caliper. What size would the copper crush washers be on the break hose banjo? 2005 Passat 1.9tdi estate.

Went to replace rear discs and pads. YouTube makes it look so easy. Was not for me! This piston needs replaced right? Thanks for any advice. Is 2005 1.9tdi estate.
