Lots of central barrier upgrades on the M5 from flimsy metal barrier to thick concrete. Makes me wonder if this in preparation for a higher speed limit in the future maybe?

Re: My B5 Wagon 'Popeye' | FOR SALE!
Well my friends the time has inevitably come! No desperate hurry here, more of a feeler for now (unless i was made a serious offer) Due to funds being required to assist the purchase of air suspension to slam my T2 Bay camper ready for next show season, its time my beloved Popeye found a new home (h...

Re: Alarm/door sensor problems
My B5 wagon has just started this very same problem! Its intermittent, which is the most annoying part! Mine started after i had garaged the car for 6 months, and the battery ran flat. I've since re-charged the battery, tho i think it has now damaged it leaving it flat for a while, so the sensor is ...

Re: Leather seats and winter
mine look great through the window, but really hate them, burn yourself to bits in the summer, & freeze your nuts off in winter time, not to mention the massive amount of upkeep to keep them in good condition, with cleaners & leather feeds & conditioners, the worst thing i ever done cha...

Re: color coding bumbers ?????????
Ah well then the rear one on my old Passat must have been a figment of my imagination :???: As I said it was built up with high build and that ws then flattened back to make it smooth, work beautifully, and was much easier than trying to sand the texture off :) That is exactly how mine was achieved...

Re: color coding bumbers ?????????
The door lowers aren't a problem if the right percentage of a flexi agent is added to the paint. As the rubbers flex when driving at high speed, or when opening/closing the doors, its imperative its used otherwise the paint will simply crack and peel over a short period of time. I've had mine done o...

Re: Shell Diesel Users. V-Power or Regular ??
V power for three reasons The fuel has stronger cleaning agents in which obviously keep the engine clean It returns a higher mpg figure which more than offsets the cost of the fuel Double points at the min so get better vouchers through every few month :esm Exactly what he said!! ^^^^^^^^^^^ As my ...

Re: color coding bumbers ?????????
I would seriously recommend you pay that bit extra and have it professionally sprayed. I've had mine done! There is lots to consider such as adding a flexi agent in the paint, otherwise your paint will crack and split! Also the plastics need smoothing with a fine filler, sanded back! If you take sho...

Re: My B5 Wagon 'Popeye' | Semi-retired for now
Looking back on my camera this evening I stumbled on these few snaps of my beloved Popeye, taken in Wales on Blackrock sands beach, back in May when he was bought out of semi-retirement for the weeklong trip. he never missed a beat! Thought I would share these with you, as I think he still looks pre...

Re: 1.9 TDI 110 remap
Had mine done a while back now. No issues, no regrets. Need i say more? Slightly more on the mpg between 55-60 depending on how you drive. Coming up to 260,000 on the clock, and still going strong! Plenty more left in the old boy yet! Extra torque Strain on the engine is minimal, but then i didn't h...

Re: Mini_dubs B5.5 wagon. Take a look go on
Love it Chris!! I would run with it 95% of the time, just to be a bit different. But Thats just me, most don't even like a bonnet bra, nevermind the full gimp mask! Your wagon definitely has the cool dub factor without it, but the looks i got driving mine the other day, i quite enjoyed the attention...

Re: offset help ...
The ET needs to be higher in value to gain more tuck. ET35 will be just inside the arch. Any plans to lower and you will have issues with wheel scrub. Not so much the rears, but definitely the fronts! ET45 recommended for the front if you require a good tuck! ET35 is fine for the rear, possibly even...

Just got my lad a thundertiger nitro car. Good fun!
1 question, how long are you supposed to run them for!?
Are you supposed to allow the engine to cool every so often?

I thought i'd died and gone to heaven seeing so many custom Passats in one area! :ymdaydream: Tho my beloved Popeye wasn't able to make the gathering this time round, it was good to catch up with the usual suspects, all be it a wet affair! Its so good to see the progress made on 'the usual suspects'...
