so basically he needs to get it right first time or i have a busted engine..? i have no idea how long he has been mapping vw's how good or bad however what im looking for is around 150 ish bhp and abt 260 torque as mentioned im looking for eco more than power..! if thats possible he did say he tailo...

hmmmm i might give this a miss i think's as i really dont want a duffed ecu etc..! this chap im talking of look's like he is just starting out remapping vw based car's..! he is basically doing the check to see if car is ok to remap then i assume loading a generic maybe badly reconfigured map on the ...

is there any way to tell if its generic or not the guy has said i am ok to pay and try the remap if not happy go back put my ecu back to normal and refund..!

hmmmm well the guy i am supposed to be taking it to says he will read my ecu after a drive round and then remap it...

i assume doing it that way it may get rid of the big torque spike's..?

easier than that if you look just behind the n/s head lamp just in front of the power steering res there is a couple of multi plugs one of them wires is a switched 12v+ i will let you know which it is later today when day light come's

hi guys im getting a remap done im just looking for a sensible level to remap it to..! im not looking for blistering 0-60 times what i am looking for is the best level to go for that is easy on clutch dmf turbo etc give me a decent fuel eco improvement with a touch of acceleration improvement any vi...

in the bump trim that is on the bumper yours could have a chrome strip on it maybe just all black or colour coded which ever they go there

if you make them in bumper maybe yes but the valance on the passat estate is different if it has sensors fitted it has a lip on the bottom instead of wrapping underneath ..

well the valance arrived today well wrapped up in masses of bubble wrap... and the marks they have shown i cant even find them...!

fitted in 20 mins just order some sensor's now.. i wouldnt mind factory fitted but never mind

i got the valance on its way in post somewhere..!

which kit from ebay is it if you can remember i assume it just connects to the reverse light wire's and beep's when close to object..??

Take off the battery for 20 mins and try again.If its the same, change the thermostat total rubbish dont waste your time it will be stat stuck open.... mine did it last week stat in mine was only about 18 months old as well simple job to do 2 bolts behind alternator temp sensor is located rear of e...

ah right so everything seems normal then... also yes the egr valve it could be that..! i thought it was the turbo playing up i also have another strange noise sound's like a duck farting on acceleration someone said your egr valve knackered but its a brand new one 12 months ago tho... but it has alw...

and a pretty biggish job as well... do what i did and convert them into drl's they come on with ignition but i used led laps in place of the halogen bulb they look nice to be honest and standard fit there is a +12v in the connection plugs near the power steering res i tapped into that with a single ...

cheers for that vid karl...

however on tick over how far does the actuator arm move up and while ticking over and you pull the vac pipe off the actuator diaphragm does it drop then come back up slightly on reconnection as mine does this

its travel seems ok on rev up so it is working ok

right ignore everything i said the actuator arm does not move... it sonunds tho as if the car is sucking in more air after a few mins... but the arm dont move am i right in saying the pipe that goes to the actuator diaphram is supposed to suck all the time on tick over and lift the actuator arm slig...

hi all i am having a small problem however im not sure if its supposed to do this or not...? when the car is on tick over for say 2 mins ish... ( not exact ) the actuator arm on the turbo moves slightly and then air starts to suck in the air intake more..? is this normal at all..? or have i a seriou...
