Re: Want to fit aftermarket radio + DAB

To make things easier for myself. I'm thinking of buying the Pioneer xeh-x6500dab + an-dab1 pioneer dab aerial Do I need the following hardness for my car? http://www.caraudiodirect.co.uk/con-ct20vw06-ct20vw06-harness-adaptor-for-audi-seat-skoda-vw.html or http://www.caraudiodirect.co.uk/con-ct20vw0...

Want to fit aftermarket radio + DAB

So I've owned two cars iny my life and been happy with the radios I've had, until recently I'm getting sick of normal radio and fancy DAB (Planet Rock ) But I'm finding everything a little confusing!! I've found the headunit I want, Pioneer bla bla, £200, sounds fine to me. But with DAB, I'd...

Re: Is this where the alarm sounder should be?

Does anyone know if its possible to remove/replace the alarm without taking those two pipes off? My alarm is there but doesn't seem to be working, so guess it's died but want to replace it. My CCM is fine, was slightly moist before I done the fix so not sure if the previous owner just disabled it in...

I've tried various leds as my side bulbs and none of them reported any problems. I had one set which flickered after about 8 months but had that down to the fact they were dying

Re: MPG -2.0se petrol? or rough miles?

My 2.0 azm is 430 miles on a full tank, and I roughly get that.

I probably get around 33mpg on the roads and about 36 on the motorway. I use to get 40+ on the motorway but not anymore.

I wonder if it's because my engine temp usually sits around 80 and not 90?

Seized Track Rod - Tracking

I had my drivers side tie rod changed, so the tracking needs to be sorted, but when I took it to protyre they said the passengers side was seized. Do they really need to adjust anything on that side, considering it's not been replaced/touched? I would of thought they'd only need to change the driver...

Don't pay for the code! VW give it to you for free, check your manual it'll say something like "VW will provide the code, free of charge"

Re: Rear Number Plate Bolts

Just to update I managed to get it out by finding some very narrow pliers :) I'm still thinking of sticking it, but I have some foam behind where the plate would go and I tried peeling it and looked a right mess underneath. Will see how much the bolts are from VW, but my ETKA is taking an age to upd...

Rear Number Plate Bolts

Does anyone know if the two bolts at the back can be replaced? Inside the bolts (which don't look like they can be replaced) is loads of plastic, guessing from a plastic screw. I managed to unscrew one side, but the other just has it all crammed inside and not sure what to do. I suppose one of my op...

Difficult to say, your options are really only from an SE, Sport & Highline.

I use to have sport seats which had lumber and didn't find them hard tbh, but I bought a highline leather interior because of my leather fetish.

I'd quite like it tbh!

Ask someone to sit in the passenger seat and see if it happens there,if not put them in the back behind you and see if happens, if not then it's something up with the seat

Heated Seats Retrofit

I've got highline leather seats in my car which I bought, and they have the heating inside but my car doesn't have the looms. I've seen two, one from Kufatec for £49, and one from Vw Teeside for £120, they both look very similar. Has anyone used either one? I want it to be as plug and play as poss...

Electric Window Motor Cog?

On our Lupo, we had an issue with the electric window, if you press down to open it, it would just click and nothing will happen. I bought a new regulator + Motor, and hunky doorly all fixed. I then thought I'd do some pocking around and I believe I know the problem now. Take a look at the link belo...

Ah excellent cheers for that. The 3M stuff I can get is 6mm diameter, whereas the VW stuff is near 10mm I believe, but I may risk the cheaper stuff, and hopefully will be a nice seal, it'll be better than whats there now anyway :P http://www.vikingtapes.co.uk/3M_Products/3M_Adhesives/3M_Gunnable_Adh...

Window Regulator Carrier Seal

I'm soon to change fix my Window Regulator, but I know the sela around the outside has failed in certain parts as it leaks a bit of water. VW sell a cord which is £35+ which tbh I can't really be bothered to pay for. I'e seen 3m sell something similar, does anyone know if the 6mm diameter Butyl cor...

Leaky Door Seal?

Well my car has the pollen filter leak, but as Ive got half of the carpet up waiting for VW to do their stuff I've noticed the front passenger side, water seems to be dripping from the door seal aswell! The door seal does have a slight split in it, but is water even meant to be running there in the ...

Ah, if it's hesitation then I very much doubt it's the break switch and this doesn't cause the car to go into limp mode.

So it looks like something more expensive :(

Let us know what the problem is though
