I've not done the front personally only rears but the fronts are more involved as in you need to remove a spring and the calliper which is an extra bolt compared to the back.

Does anyone know the part number for the yellow/black screw for the numberplates? Its got the builtin rivnut? Already but last time i went to vw he couldnt find the p/n nor would any fit in the hole. Also whoever put the numberplate on screwed into the bodywork! No idea how its not at all rusty but ...

Could be many different things, get it scanned and come back with the error code if there is one. A cheap u281 scanner is good but double check its for passats or download vcds onto a laptop and a lead on ebay. Things coming to mind could be boost leak, under boosting, over boosting, maf, map n75, c...

It says it has 2 year warranty but wondering if it's just a nightmare to prove it's duff. Mine defo needs a new joint rather than boot, but looking at good quality and oem prices it's madness. Even if the j&r only lasted 1-2 years I could still buy another 2 from them before I get to oem prices:o

Hello, ill soon be draining my coolant via rad screw and then topping up again so not a full flush as such.
