Massive Like here Roberto!

Great idea on the hubs. Just had my Golf ones done to 4x100 and 5x100. Lots of meat left on your hubs so no safety issues whatsoever!

I spy B7 mirrors... Oh and I have some engine changes in the offing. FB me if you want in on the action :-P

Re: Cheapest Place for EPB Motor (NSR)

Fix it, bit of glue n grease. http://www.ukpassats.co.uk/phpbb/viewtopic.php?f=33&t=65737 Seen your guide mate, :) wish I had a motor left to do so. Housing cracked in 2 when removing it, lug broke off and gear mech was seized solid. So just binned it. Would it be a good idea to remove and fill...

Re: Cheapest Place for EPB Motor (NSR)

Most certainly will. Been using only the RHS for ages since it happened, typical me putting it off. Sick of no auto hold and it won't pass test with only one side handbrake either.

I need a set of front drop links, a set of highline dash clocks and a motor at the very least to pass test.

Re: Cheapest Place for EPB Motor (NSR)

Thanks for that Richard. The cheapest I could find on eBay was £248 delivered to Ireland. I can't use an exchange as the motor is missing. I fitted the new motor to the old caliper the last time on the OSR but this time I will fit the 2 calipers and bleed the brakes. Sent C&R an email anyway. Sam

Cheapest Place for EPB Motor (NSR)

Hi all, my passenger side parking brake motor has broken apart (oh joy!) I am unsure where to get one as the ones on eBay seem extortionate. I replaced the drivers side 2 years ago with one from Quigg Bros in Tyrone. Not sure if they still do them. Exchange isn't possible as the motor was removed an...

Re: Chinese copy RNS 510s?

So does anybody have any recommendations for a unit, Ideally the cheaper the better. I only have a RCD300 with an MP3 emulator, but it sounds ok. Hopefully something that's a step up. Also do these have RCA output, as I tried to use a 4-channel amp with the RCD speaker outputs and it was all alterna...

Re: OEM Bi-Xenon High Beam (Custom Headlamp Setup)

Those are the headlamps I have - the DRL section is just actually a W5W parking light in a big housing! I replaced that part with a projector so at least I could have a bigger lens area. I know what you mean, I have the trigger shutter wired up to the original high beam bulb wires. This lifts the sh...

Re: OEM Bi-Xenon High Beam (Custom Headlamp Setup)

Do the Denso ones flash the ballast for flasher so? I assume the Valeo ones do that as no halogen. Would a Denso ballast work with Valeo D1S bulbs I wonder... There is no such a thing designed in hid systems as a flash. Denso are fastest ballasts on the market to ignite and warm up bulbs to full te...

Re: My Passat B6 slowly getting there

18s Chris? looks great!

I'd love a set of 19's but then I'd have to lower it. The state of the roads here (ruined the sump of a standard height MK4 PD150 on my local road) dictates no.

I want to keep improving the Passat as well as my MK2. Seeing people build just makes me want to spend money!

Re: OEM Bi-Xenon High Beam (Custom Headlamp Setup)

I looked at the retrofit source stuff alright. Some nice stuff. Might use them when I do my MK2. The OEM projectors look to be the same size as the ones in the Bi-Xenon units, a swap could be done. But it's wiring that I need to make this happen. Not sure does the passat feed different wires from th...

Re: OEM Bi-Xenon High Beam (Custom Headlamp Setup)

What I would prefer is Halogen flash when stalk pulled back, and Xenon shutter lift when stalk pushed forward (and dipped beams are on) OEM the B6 Bi-Xenons had no halogen bulb so I presume they have these ultra fast heat up ones, the Valeo ones. I have a pair of OEM bulbs, just never could find a p...

OEM Bi-Xenon High Beam (Custom Headlamp Setup)

Was never happy with my OEM Bi-Xenon half-retrofit, I used aftermarket HID bulbs and ballasts in OEM housings, and wired the bulbs in as dips and the high beam shutter trigger to full beam. But this meant having the dips on all the time if it meant a flash to pass flash was to be used. I tried using...

bollixed my clocks fitting them. Need a new set of KM/H Highline MFD clocks now. :((
