done the temp sensor - that was an utter pig to fit with big fat man hands!
I wondered about glows, wasn't sure they could cause that much of a problem.
heard they can be a pig to take out and fit.

mainly struggle to start up, cloud of white smoke/diesel, shudder, the auto timing sorts it out. Running after is fine but a bit hesitant for first few miles. Hi, Does anyone here know of anyone in the Midlands that could do the above on a B6 Audi with the 2.5 v6 tdi lump (not sure of engine code will check). Hi Will, cheers buddy, i figured it was the sump drain plug. I've got oils filters and crankcase breathers to change so i'll do it all at the same time and the keep an eye on it afterwards. Thanks very much.

I've circled a nut underneath the car that seems to be spotting oil - what is this? New to diesel engined VAGs. Also the pipe that i've arrowed there seems to be a mist of oil on that as well and i don't know what it is either, could anyone please help and send me a few pointers. Cheers guys n gals ...

Well she was a fair bit duller to start. Spent wednesday detailing, doing the paint correction and starting enhancement. More work to be done to get her properly clean. But for first stage im pretty happy. Yeah oem wheels. They really suit the car i think. The brakes are out if this world !! Rip you...

Well, alas i didn't find a new passat wagon that took my fancy, just weren't too many good ones about that i saw, instead i went for this beauty of an Audi - b6 A4 Quattro Sport, 2.5 v6 tdi remapped (215bhp) on 18" rotors and with s4 brakes front and rear...few more mods to come http://i1272.ph...

Hi, thanks mate, appreciate the response.
ALl hoses replaced and in doing so find a miniscule crack in the intake manifold i believe which has now been replaced and its sorted all the problems. Car is running brilliantly.

Audi Birmingham had the car today to check and replace them under warranty recall if found faulty. They have told him that they have had the injectors out and checked them and reported to be "within tolerance levels"? I guess they have the ability to test them under load and check they fal...

safe mode is pretty much what you described earlier having no boost. i didn't try and start mine and disconnect it, mine simply wouldn't turn for more than few seconds before cutting out.
