Change the lock ASAP, its a really pain having to do it when it fails locked.

Sealed over the top with mine and used silicon. Easy to remove if I need to get in there again. Did about a third of the way up the door. Been dry since.

Sorry buddy but you are stuffed. Exactly the same on mine a few months ago. There are some very good how 2s out there to change it. Get the new lock first as you have to totally destroy the old one to get it to unlock.

Did you have the right tool? Looks like a standard sort of spline bit, but its not, finer bits on it.

Why didn't you do it when you did the belt? They are only about £30

When I sold my wagon on she had 263000 on her, my mate has now sold her on again and she's at 270000, i ran mine on Bio Diesel as well, quiet, smooth but a bit of a drop on power and mpg. Great car, never should have sold it.

Did this today with a door that was deadlocked. Not a lot of fun. Had to destroy the lock to get the door open. Hammer and chisel/screwdriver.
Couldn't have managed it without the guide though.

Hi guys my old B5 AFN wagon had a really heavy clutch, it worked fine otherwise, any ideas on what the problem might be, I was wondering if it might be the slave cylinder?

Good choice, pagid are reasonably priced. Had their discs and pads on my B5 wagon, they were ok.

Is it worth it?
Would it not be easier to get another motor and use yours as a donor?
