we are off to san francisco-then(hawaii)maui-big island-oahu- then back via las vegas in may/june so some ideal pointers for us so far thanks guys,we always do the free walking tours when they are available, going back to all the places i went 25 years ago for my big 5-0 birthday (thats why hawaii) :D

ive got a stanley fatmax 18v lion also, excellent for diy and i paid £99 6 months ago, they do come up on offer at argos quite regular.

i just need to remove exhisting decat pipe and fit new pipe but for price i wonder if its worth keep swapping over for each mot. ill check when i get new cat how easy it is to diy swap.

ordered new cat for my 1.9tdi from euro car parts today for £37.99 free delivery as i decated about 2yrs ago by cutting old cat out. ive spoken to my mot man and he says if it had one from factory it needs one for mot. ill just knock out internals so it wont affect performance and for this price it...

thats the first thing i tried but no joy, if the red wire is permanent live ive got an issue there as no 12v to it, if i only connect red to red or even red to yellow i get nothing

ive just put a sony head unit in my 99 golf and it wont save station settings when i remove ignition key, ive had yellow wire from unit to yellow on to yellow wire in plug at same time i had red to red and its the same, if i disconnect red from plug and connect both red and yellow from unit to yello...

i got genuine bushes from gsf last year after being quoted £35 each from vw i got set of 4 from gsf for £17/set iirc.

Get some 4 x4 axle stands and jack car up as high as possible. Remove drive shaft and separate all wishbon/ suspension on near side and you should be able to drop box out.DO support engine and you should be able to get it out. Should only take an hour to remove.

If you're struggling to get original b4 id try b5 there seems to be loads about. Ive fitted front seals to rear doors no problem so id say b5 would work.

theyre fixed at top with a small vertical seam of silicone and a double sided sticky pad, i got mine of using a small electrical wire and gently cut through (like flossing teeth).DO NOT try and rush/pull them of else they will bend.

when i sold complete vr6 engine,gearbox,ex manifold, loom,subframe,steering column,ecu, basically all parts required to do a conversion it went for £250
