most likely the pollen filter housing. This is a known issue on the B5/5.5 models. A new pollen filter housing can be purchased new from VW for about £25, you'll need to take the plenum cover off, and also the windscreen scuttle, but not that big of a job Sorry to sound stupid, but what is the scu...

I couldnt get my pully off. I had proper tools for it but gave up. Took it to the local garage and they couldnt take it off. Ended up buying another alternator. When my pully seized, the belt was jumping all over the place, had Esp light on as well. Replaced tensioner and the belt and it made a huge...

When i turn the heating on in the morning and drive it till the car reaches 90C, something turns ac on and shuts the heating. Very weird, is it aux heater problems? Webasto its called i think. Car isnt overheating and runing ok.

Coolant temp sensor- common fault, i would replace thermostat at the same time. Buy genuine parts, ebay ones wouldnt last long.

According to ETKA, your correct part is 038131501AA, egr valve for AVB engine got different part number.

A nut is sump plug, get a new one next time you do an oil change. a pipe looks like aircon pipe. i would clean it all and keep an eye on sump plug.if you not loosing oil i wouldnt worry about this.

Seems like stat solve my problem. By the way interesting why vw desnt have coolant bleeding point, i thought im in trouble when i had no hot air coming through my vents. But after revving and squezing hoses it all bled itself.

Hi everyone. Recently bought 05 reg touran, and noticed that engine temp drops to 75 with Ac turned on. As soon as i turn Ac off, temp goes back to 90. Looks like im loosing little bit of coolant as well. Any ideas chaps? I was thinking about replacing thermostat...its Bkc engine, tdi
