Re: Plastic trim help.

You could rub the plastic down mate and get a smooth finish before colour coding?

Know what you mean with the plastics but either route not cheap.

Re: Boot Lamp

Hello mate, got the same problem, along with a few others on the forum with Estates, as the boot lamp also works off a microswitch in the boot lock mechanism. Can't just buy the switch, got to buy the whole lot, last time I checked the local Stealers wanted about £20+vat. Will get round to sorting ...

Re: Vw Campervan-Split, Bay or newer?

Hello mate, would love to be in your shoes with dilemma on what to buy for 20K! One practical question, do you have a garage or lock-up to keep it from the weather? No experience of camper vans but had a few 'classic cars', and if your wanting it as an investment and to keep in show condition then y...

Re: F1 Going Down Hill From 2012

Exactly mate!

BBC knew how much of a stink it would cause, so only announced it after the deal was done. No consultation, no information, no chance of US the licence fee payers having any input to the decision.

Re: piller removale

Spend a few quid on a trim removal tool mate, machine mart do one if you've got one nearby?

Saves alot of time and broken clips, alot easier to wedge behind trim and gently pry the clips out of the lugs. :-bd

Re: how to remove bonnet lock/mech

Done it a few times on my estate, once you've got the interior trim off you can pretty much see everything that needs to be undone to remove it, few bolts, disconnect rod for lock, few switches, BUT the main one that caught me out to completely remove the lock and the plastic trim on the outside, is...

Re: F1 Going Down Hill From 2012

BBC F1 Forum got inundated with comments after race on Sunday, mostly about the TV rights.

Thing that gets me is that we pay the licence fee yet the BBC didn't consult anybody or the fans and have just gone ahead, done it, then released the detials once the deals been done. L-)

Re: F1 Going Down Hill From 2012

Shinola decision. Not as if Bernie needs anymore money. Think this is a real step back after BBC have built it up with coverage. Used to watch Rally Championship but really lost interest this year with poo coverage on Eurosport. Surely if your an F1 sponser your not going to be happy with losing suc...

Next time you do a long trip mate stick some Millers stuff in the tank just to cover all the bases.

Not a permanent fix for limp mode but cures mine for a few months.

Lets hope they are better than some of the 'How To's':- Removal 1. Jack up the car. 2. Remove necessary bolts, pipes and fixings, (see crappy black and white photo to confuse things further). 3. Once all these are undone then simply remove engine. Refit 1. See above but in reverse. Two Spanner ratin...
