You can change them from the top, remove some pipes and cables.
I never did mine got Chris Adams (Aadams24) to do it but I watched.
The top torbo pipe an other bits take longer than the switch.
Manual B5.5 TDI Sport (6 speed).

Poxy hydraulic tensioner damper is a forking pain getting it just right.

I never put mine in service position, once fan was loosened all was good..

Had my B5.5 130 sport nearly 13 years. 220K still going strong, remapped with one of the 185 bhp 400nm maps. Hmm, had mine about the same length of time, and now on about the same mileage …… Which remap/supplier did the 185bhp come from? Cheers T2000 supplied the map, I assume its one of the generi...

When my spigot bearing was failing, i would get intermittent no clutch disengagement.
IE: Push down clutch would not go in gear or come out of gear.
