Re: The impossible task - how to do it???

I have found that the large peg that goes through the glass can sometimes pop out when you are pushing the smaller peg through,So i have used some gaffer tape to hold it in and then pierced a hole through it so you can push the small peg through. still a bit fiddly like with the wire in the way.

Boththe bush and the wheel bearings will cause excessive movement under load ,Cornering braking and accelerating will all cause movement. This will cause uneven tyre wear.

Re: tdi tuning boxes

The one i was looking at is from a trusted company,TDI tuning. Seems to connect to a temp sensor near to the fuel filter. They claim 35% more power and 35% more torque with more mpg as well!!.How can such a simple device work so well? Any ideas?.

That looks like youre belt tensioner is knackered as well. Same noise my car was making ,I replaced the lot in one go including the water pump and various idlers as well. You can see from the way the tensioner is moving up and down in the video clip that its knackersd.

Re: Insurance what a joke!

Could you not ask your employer for a reference letter to say you had no accidents in 6 yrs? As long as the vehicle you've been driving is not a fleet vehicle used by various people then they should be able to do this for you. Then you could send a copy to any insurance company you get a quote from....
