Lumpy Acceleration - Mapped 170 Audi a4

Post by stevekoz »

Hi all,

I have a friend who's recently bought a 170hp Audi s-line a4.

He wasn't happy with the power delivery low down and so had it remapped somewhere in Leicestershire.

They mapped the car to somewhere in teh region of 200hp. WIth power kicking in low down at 1200rpm ish at hhis request (due to driving style and roads where car is used). But since then he's advised that its been a little lumpy while accelerating - jerky/hesitant.

He checked with Audi and there was a recall on the injectors as this is a common fault , but Audi have checked them over today and they all within tolerance. Leads me to believe it might be the map.

WHy would the car run lumpy after the Map - it wasn't a live map i don't believe, obdb plug n play with the settings. DPF remains in place, not deleted.

Any ideas? Cheers guys n gals.
