I'm after a bit of advice re this, I've got the old heater control fault, whereby you either have it on full blast on number 3, or nothing at all, I was aware it's quite a common fault on quite a few cars and mycarsavw kindly pointed to a chap called Matt on here.... so any chance of a pointer in the right direction on how to sort this fault chappies?
