Shifting stubborn leather staining

I got a brown mark on my rear seat, no idea what it is, it looks like chocolate but i'm sure it isn't since nothing will shift it, even picking at it with my fingernail won't work. I am not sure but it behaves like dried glue.

Anyone know some kind of cleaner that will remove leather stains? I have tried the standard stuff and even the kit we got with our sofa! I thought about white spirit but then thought better.

It's not massive about 2 inches long by 1/4 inch wide in a spill/smear kind of pattern. my seats are black,
