Some pics & Videos showing Swissvax products

Post by Prism »

Until last year i was associated with Swissvax . This gave me great exposure to some fantastic and rare cars as well as their product range. I thought i would share with you some of the products in the form of videos of specific things or detail video i have produced which in some cases show application etc...like the previous thread this might be of interest to some people and maybe not to others.

Swissvax Shield
I think we will start with my favourite Swissvax wax known as Shield. I keep telling folk this is the hidden gem within the range, an i still believe this....the reason being is the durability of the product and self cleaning abilities with the added PTFE, but with Swissvax waxes, they contain natural oils which enhance the finish really well and increased gloss. I think at present the RRP of this wax is £120. This is a couple of videos showing the product....

This is a video showing the sheeting of water from my van which had Shield applied:

You can see even in this video as i snowfoamed the van, it struggled to stick to the paint because of the PTFE content within the wax:

This is a video showing the water behaviour on my old black Saab as the water snakes off the paintwork:

an finally this is a video of an Audi RS4 i recently detailed finished with Swissvax Shield:

Swissvax Crystal Rock

This is one of the flagship waxes from Swissvax, with Paul Dalton putting his name to it. Meant to have the highest caranuba content out of any wax this wax is rock hard. Durability is expected upto 12 months, i have heard from customers that this is true and they loved it. Crystal Rock is considered by many as one of the best waxes in the world, the application is easy, removal is easy, the durability is fantastic and the depth to the paint is outstanding. The RRP for this wax im sure is £750 for 200ml but if you applied one every 6 months the pot will probably outlast the car lol. Here are some videos showing water behaviour etc....

Swissvax Opaque

Swissvax were the first to design a wax for the opaque market with partnership with the likes of Bentley and Lamborghini they produced a range which would not increase and gloss, but offer the best in protection. I was the first detailer in the UK to use this on an Ford Focus RS500 which being a Matte wrap was totally different to the later BMW M3 Frozen Edition i protected which was Matte paint. Very easy to apply and remove and smells amazing, the pot i have 200ml is IIRC £120 a pot. This might interest some people who have done their cars in a matte finish.

Swissvax Best of Show

This wax has a bit of a cult following, due to the finish it gives, very high in oils the depth to the paint is outstanding and it is known that once applied, leave the car in the sun for a couple of hours the the depth/gloss increases further. Very easy to apply and remove an costs IICR RRP £160. Here is a video of a Ford Focus RS i detailed and finished with Best of Show, and the gloss is amazing IMO, shows the stages including a eno friend wash technique using steam, the correction and application of wax by hand:
