Just spent the best 30 minutes on my wagon replacing the coolant tank for a non-silicate version. Thankfully the bag hasn't split, but I couldn't see any way of getting to the bag to take it out. Pair of pliers, turkey baster, and a jug is all that's needed. Remove the coolant from the old tank, swap, then refill the new with the reclaimed fluid.
I've only had my Passat a month and a half, it was the Indy that changed my DSG oil that warned me about it. He said its a DIY job, so i thought i'd tackle it.
