high mileage clogging ?

my 190 has done 150k as a lease car and probably motorway work of course, as i understand it the egr has done most of its evil work on a motorway so im guessing its pretty clogged - so how do i find out or unclog it if it is, i dont know my way around this car yet so for me easiest is best.. im still trying to work out why i have no power till 2000rpm - all ideas or thoughts welcome
