B8 Radio and Software update on Import

Good morning and Happy New Year,
Just got a Japanese import, 2016 B8 Passat GT.
Got a few niggles with the stereo FM/DAB band.
Is there a way to update and install the latest software to convert to UK bandwidth or do you still need a bandwidth convertor?
Seem to remember needing this on a Pajero I had years ago.
Is there anything else that needs flashing, or can be flashed for UK spec?
