New battery.

Just went out to start the car & completely dead. (Not been started for 3 days & it's cold) still original battery on car from new (May 2009) so 6 1/2 years old. Anyway. Green Flag are coming out in the morning so I've walked to a TPS near me and bought one. Bloody heavy too walking back about 3rd of a mile certainly helps the cardiovascular work out lol. When green flag come is this just a straight swap over or will any codes need clearing? Or will green flag need to start the car first then change the battery? Worst part is it's an auto so can't jump start & with an EPB I can't even move it as can't switch it off until cars running.
