I'm looking at a B5.5 130 TDI.....getting more appealing as a Discovery TDI saps my will to live and bank balance as a commuter
Back to the Passat....
87K on the clock, but only got a service history up to 50K.
I'm thinking that it would be unwise to purchase, as it's got no paperwork for any kind of servicing after that, and at best a dealer would just swap filters and oil - so there's still stuff like brakes, cambelt/tensioners and pump etc to fork out for to be certain.
I realise the a dealer has to make a profit, but surely you're more likely of a sale making sure the car is up to scratch, rather than chancing asking £4k for a 2005 reg vehicle, regardless of the mileage (which can't be verified, conveniently). Or am I missing something here?
If i an just get enough for the mondeo.....I'll obviously be back on our sales section
Why do dealers chance it?
