Anyone ever ran tyre brand - 'event tyres' before?

I know their only cheap budget tyres but all I use my car for now is pottering round town to the post office and back. My furthest journey being to Melksham (8 miles one way) on a Tuesday morning and the occasional journey up to Slough - 97 miles one way.
So looking at buying some for the car as they're cheap and cheerful and will do what I need them to do for me....I don't hoon the car about in the dry let alone the wet.
I could easily go and buy Michelin's/Pirelli's etc.etc. and all that mog but at the end of the day that would just be overkill for what I need....
Just wondering if anyone has ever had them? > These are the ones I'm thinking of ordering....
