Anyone have experience with VAG Tacho?

Hi peeps, long story short I only have one key for my Pashat and I want a minimum two. I have purchased a new fob with internals plus a few transponder chips.
I bought VAG Tacho off eBay which came with programme on disc, but I struggled to get it loaded on my laptop as it was a mini cd and my laptop drive struggled. So the seller gave me a direct link for the files, this foxed me as there was no instructions for installation etc, I could get the lead to be recognised but there was an issue with drivers and DLL files.
Anyway, I'm sending the cable back to the seller and starting again after seeking advice from you guys.
So, what is my best solution to reprogramme my key.
