Rear Brake Fun...

Post by BIG F@ TW@ »

Last MOT had an advisory that drivers rear brake was binding. Had time to sort it today as I had a spare rear caliper in my stash.

I took the spare apart to check all was well, moves freely and seal is good so reassembled to fit.

When I removed the binding caliper the pads were near enough worn to nothing and very badly crumbling from heat damage.

Anyhoo thought I'd show you guys the difference to the pad from the passenger side. Both were changed at same time previously.

Also when I fitted the new pads I nearly made the rookie error of not ensuring the retaining springs were set correctly (see pic)
