ISO instead of cutting wires??

ive just changed my factory fitted cassette plaer for a jvc head unit but ive come across the problem that when i turn the ignition off i loose the radio station/cd player settings.

i really dont want to start cutting wires as im poo at that sort of thing so i was thinking will an ISO adaptor work instead? i remember from my last cd player that the red and yellow wires had a fuse inbetween so swapping the wires over was a doddle but this time id be having to cut into the loom that comes from the car
