Fitting a sub and amp in my b5 passat

Been waitin ages to get it wired up and now i have 3 days doing nothing so might try it myself! Im usually poo with this kind of thing so ill probably blow the car up! Anyone got a guide or know of a site that will help me along? Does anyone think i should get it done professionally and avoid cocking something up?!!
