battery drained

Post by gor131-x »

i have a kicker l7 15" sub with a jbl power series amplifier and a kenwood doubledin headunit

if i dont start the car within 12 hours, then my battery goes dead,i've had to keep a jump lead set in my boot

now from what i can see,it looks like its the amplifier, even when the ignition is off,the amplifier light stays on,is that right? or have i wired it wrong?

the remote wire is to the back of the double din,so are the phono's and the power wire is direct from the battery to the amplifier

do i need a capacitator? or is it some thing else?

when i newly installed it,the headunit settings would reset everytime i took the key out of the ignition,i swapped the red and yellow wire in the back of the headunit in the ISO connectors round and plugged it in,that solved that problem!

hope im not babling on too much

so what could it be?
