rcd 310 DAB signal problems question

hi ive got a b6 Passat and just fitted a dab 310 radio ive bought vw pure dab aerial a fitted it to the front windscreen im having bad problems with the radio cutting out all the time whilst driving , is this normal , is there anything I can do like booster etc etc
