Will Golf CD Changer Fit??

I want to fit a 6 disc CD Changer in the glovebox and attach it to my MFD2 Headunit.
The car came with a VW iPod Dock in there. But as I have fitted a Parrot MKI9200 I don't need this any longer.
Will the Changer from a Mk5 Golf work? They're cheaper and more common second hand than the Passat one.
I think the illumination on the buttons is different (red instead of blue), but otherwise they look identical.
Part No's are almost the same too.
Golf V - 1K0 035 110 A
Passat 3C - 3C0 035 110 A
The iPod Dock will be for sale soon.
