price of tax

yesterday went to renew my car tax, letter i had from tax office said it was £96.25, got to the counter and the guy said £99, the price went up in the budget, i even said to him you not tryin to rip me of are you, he showed me his pc screen with the price on it
think i better go put my new disc on as it is now the 1st may, b4 i get a ticket lol
