Just joined you even though I’ve had my 05 Passat Trendline estate since 06 ( 148,000+ On the clock). Alarm kept going off and after much research found you and all the brilliant posts gave me the knowledge how to remove the siren from the car. No more late night scrambling from the keys and disconnecting the battery.
But, will this be an MOT fail if the garage is aware that I’ve removed the alarm? Or, should I be economical with what I tell the garage, can an MOT check tell that there is no siren? Interesting to hear your thoughts.
